En-route passes the SemtokhaDzong built-in 1629, the oldest fortress. Continue ascending past small villages to Dochu La (pass – 3116m) to view the 108 Stupas.
Today we will pass the dramatic Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. We will also get the view of Rinchengang, one of Bhutan’s oldest villages. Continue eastwards to Trongsa via the Pele La (Pass)
Yotu La (pass) along with four major valleys of Choekhor, Tang, Ura, and Chhume. Today you will visit Wangdicholing Palace and/or the Jambay&KurjeyLhakhangs.
Choose today between an excursion ride to Ura Valley or a day at leisure in Choekhor Valley.
This morning transfer back westwards to the Phobjikha Valley via a stop in Chhume Valley.
Today we will reach Paro through Bhutan’s highest navigable road via the Chele La (pass) at close to 3000m.
