Kathmandu Lhasa Motorcycle Tour is a 15 days motorbike tours. On this tour your ride with start from Kathmandu and cross Nepal Tibet Border. Then we will ride through Shigatse, Gyantse, and Lhasa while moving ahead. Later we take a route of Shakya, Tingri, Rongbuk to reach Everest Base Camp. Finally, we come back to Kathmandu. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu - Chinese visa preparation

You will meet and assist by Himalayan Motorbike Tours representative. Transfer to the hotel and collection of Passport for visa preparation.

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing, and bike introduction

After breakfast, you will begin or start a sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath Temple. We will have a short briefing about Kathmandu Lhasa Motorcycle Tour.

Day 3: Ride to Syabru Bensi (152 km / 7 hrs, 2400 m)

Today we will experience the off-road ride of Nepal Motorable road.

Day 6: Ride to Shigatse (240 km / 6 hrs, 3950 m)

The route today is scenic with only a small pass of 4300 meters. You will go through health check-up, and then take the bikes for checking at Shigatse.

Day 7: Apply for temporary license and ride to Gyantse (90 km / 2 hrs, 3900 m)

Ride to Gyantse followed by a visit to the sightseeing tour destination of Gyantse.

Day 8: Ride to Lhasa (260 km / 6 hrs, 3650 m)

While on the ride we will see Lake Yamdrok and Namtso Lake. We will also cross Simi La pass (4200 m) and Karo La (5010 m).

Day 9: Sightseeing tour of Lhasa (3650 m).

After breakfast tour of Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor market place. These areas are religious and social focus places of Lhasa.

Day 10: Visit Drepung & Sera monasteries.

Today we will have a sightseeing of the largest and the oldest monasteries of the 15th century.

Day 11: Ride to Sakya (410 km / 9 hrs, 4025 m)

After breakfast, we set out for Shigatse via the northern route. The route today is straight forward but scenic at the same time. We will also ride along the Yarlung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra River).

Day 12: Ride Sakya to Rongbuk (255 km / 6 hrs, 5100 m)

From Sakya, you will ascend to the Gyatso la pass at 5248 meters also the highest pass on this tour. Later we will collect our entry ticket to Qomolangma (Everest) National Park.

Day 13: Explore Mount Everest and ride Gyirong (286 km / 7 hrs)

After breakfast, you will pay a visit to Everest Base Camp, if you missed it the day before. Following the dirt road, you will ride on the highest plateau in the world.

Day 15: Free day in Kathmandu (optional but suggested).

Today is a free day for us to relax and enjoy our last day in Kathmandu.

Day 16: Final departure
